Zelisar Plaguewither (born Sunwither) is a high elven necromancer of the higher stages of knowledge. Although a brilliant transmuter and enchanter of the Quel'dorei in life, his actual beliefs were bewildered way before the Lich King filled his mind with whispers. Granted, the elf was doubtful at first of the shady beckoning; this damaged his behavior, nevertheless, as he was obviously rebelling an inside struggle. He turned to an aggressive self of his and, in the end, he was forced to resign from his position as his sudden hostility sparkled no good discussions.
Angered by his ignorant peers, Zelisar ventured away from the kingdom towards what he believed it was that called for him, to either destroy it or join it. Upon stepping outside of Quel'thalas, the thread of his actions was lost. His name was heard again only a year later in the dread Scholomance, this time along with the Forsaken shadow priest, Rallen Grimsong.
Prior to his farewell, Zelisar surrendered his staff for his sister, Aneirin, on which he attached a letter that narrated everything he was going through and what he intended to do. The actual content and message she's received is not known to the public eye, however she admitted she received such a letter from the magister.
